Kobe Bryant Move Tutorial – Pump Fake Crossover – Top Signature “Basketball Moves”

This Kobe “basketball move” is one of his signature moves that he uses to create separation from his defender and get the shot off.

This move is basically a pump fake, but when done quickly while on the move it works much like a crossover in that it gets your defender moving laterally, freeing up space to get the shot off.

This is one of the top moves that Kobe does regularly in his game and it works beautifully when executed correctly.

The secret is to get some momentum going and taking one last hard step at a slight angle forward before pump faking the shot and then jumping at slightly different angle for the shot.

In effect you will crossover your defender with that combination of a jab step and shot fake, without actually doing a crossover.
