Kyrie Irving Crossover – How to Basketball Moves
The Kyrie Irving crossover is one of the deadliest basketball moves in the game, and you can learn how to do it quickly and easily!
For starters, I suggest you check out the video below to see what the crossover move will look like in action.
One of the first things you need to pull of the crossover like Kyrie does is to get a little bit of momentum going in one direction. So if you’re dribbling the ball with your left hand you’ll want to start moving slowly to your left side.
Then as you’re still moving with your feet and body to the left you want to hesitate with the basketball for a second and use your eyes to look to your left like you’re about to explode into a move in that direction.
After this hesitation you’ll want to make a short, quick jab with your left foot to the left side while bringing your chest low, and make a short, quick push of the basketball to the left as well. This is a key part, and what Kyrie Irving excels at. It is this fake that he does so well that sends defenders flying in the wrong direction.
Then you crossover and explode to the right.
If you executed the crossover correctly you should leave your defender in the dust and have a lot of space to work with.
One of the biggest keys to learning how to make the Kyrie Irving crossover work is to practice this basketball move a lot on your own as well as in games to get a feel for how your defender reacts to jabs and fakes.
